Job Title: Polisher (2 Openings)

Pay: $22–$25 per hour (depending on experience)
Location: Fitchburg, MA
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking detail-oriented Polishers to perform precision finishing on metal components used in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality surface finishes while following established work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow work instructions, process documentation, and production requirements.
• Polish and finish metal components to meet quality and customer specifications.
• Operate equipment such as belt sanders, buffing wheels, grinders, and other finishing tools with minimal supervision.
• Use hand tools and precision tools to complete detailed finishing work on small or complex parts.
• Perform surface preparation and finishing processes according to established procedures.
• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and in accordance with documentation standards.
• Enter production data and other required information into computer systems.
• Follow quality management procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Assist with production tasks in other departments as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Report equipment concerns and quality issues to the appropriate supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 6 months of manufacturing or production experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using polishing, grinding, sanding, or finishing equipment is a plus.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written instructions.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.
