A growing automotive manufacturer located in Grand Rapids, MI is looking to add and train entry-level die setters to its team. This is a great opportunity to learn a new trade!
Die Setter Job Requirements:
- Assist with die setup process
- Clean and prepare presses for job setup
- Learning and assisting with the entire die changeover from last-piece to first-piece
- Troubleshoot press operations in a methodical manner
- Maintain clean work area following 5S standards
- Operate overhead crane and forklift
- Learn basic preventative maintenance on equipment
- 3rd shift 10:00pm-6:30am Sunday-Thursday, with ability to work longer shifts and weekends as required
- $18.00/HR
- Eagerness and commitment to learning a new trade
- Will be required to obtain hilo certification upon starting
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- HS Diploma or GED required
