Full-time Regular Pompano Beach, FL, US 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1269 Salary Range: $20.50 To $26.00 Hourly We’ve been helping people get back to work and life since 1992 Job Title: Billing Specialist Salary Range: $20.50-$26 Department : Finance Reports To : Director of RCM Location : Pompano Beach, Fl Job Type : Full-Time FLSA Status : Non-Exempt The Billing Specialist is responsible for the quality and accuracy of medical billing submissions, including proper CPT and ICD-10 code usage, timely filing, and the maintenance of invoices and contract files. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and resilience in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The Billing Specialist ensures accurate billing for procedures and services, and supports collaboration across departments to maintain billing compliance and efficiency. Accurately prepare and maintain invoices and contract files Apply proper CPT and ICD-10 codes to claims, confirming codes are accurate and pertain to documented services Ensure clean claim submissions, timely filing, and billing accuracy Research and analyze medical bills, reports, and fee schedules for accuracy Translate medical services into billable claims and verify authorizations as needed Work with Account Receivable team on insurance denials and re-submit claims as appropriate Research and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner Collaborate with internal departments to ensure complete and accurate billing information Required Qualifications 1–2 years of billing experience High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Prior experience with Workers’ Compensation billing (WC) Knowledge of medical documentation and authorization processes Experience handling insurance denials and re-billing claims Accuracy Ensures clean claim submissions and compliance with billing Problem Solving Research discrepancies and resolves billing issues Resilience Adjusts to varied billing processes across departments Partners effectively with finance, operations, and clients Work Environment & Physical Requirements In office position Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off, holidays MTI America is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
