Production Line Maintainer

Overview Crown Crown Holdings, Inc. through its subsidiaries is a world leader in the metal packaging production process. The company designs and manufactures innovative and sustainable metal packaging solutions for a wide range of markets. Location Plant 37 – Hanover, PA. The plant manufactures 2‑piece and 3‑piece steel cans for the food industry. Position Overview The Production Line Maintainer reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining a production line or designated area of the production line. The role is scheduled for 5pm–5am on a rotating 12‑hour shift. The starting rate of pay is $30.88 with an additional $2 shift differential. Responsibilities Safety first attitude, work effectively in a team environment. Responsible for the mechanical performance of automated production machines and equipment used in making high‑quality steel cans. Make necessary adjustments, repairs, and/or changes to equipment and machines. Direct and assist in set‑up equipment and changeovers. Daily use of micrometer, dial indicators, and other precision measuring equipment to make educated decisions in operation of machines and equipment. Use SPC and process control to maintain production of quality products at all times. Provide own tools; a list of required tools will be shared. Perform other job‑related duties as required or assigned. Job Requirements Minimum Manufacturing experience. Ability to work alternate work schedules including overtime, voluntary and mandatory, based on business needs. Preferred High School Education / GED. Previous demonstrated industrial maintenance experience. Knowledge of all OSHA related training in a manufacturing environment. 6S Training. Physical Requirements The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for 8–12‑hour shifts. Working Conditions Generally works in a plant environment; exposure to light lifting, warehouse forklift traffic, and frequent loud production noise.
