POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to join our Marketing team at Makeup by Mario, the #1 most followed Makeup Artist Brand on social media. As a key member of our team, you will develop social calendars, strategy, and manage social planning across key social media channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and maintain the always-on and campaign social content calendar across all platforms. Support the development and evolution of overall social strategy. Translate brand and marketing priorities into social-first plans and content pillars. Write clear, actionable briefs and social plans for both internal teams and external partners/agencies. Manage partner relationships to ensure deliverables align with social strategy and timelines. Stay ahead of the curve on social media trends to improve social strategy. Identify and implement community engagement opportunities to deepen brand loyalty amongst our community and brand fans. Cross-Functional Collaboration Brief the creative team on social concepts, formats, and platform-specific storytelling opportunities. Partner closely with creative to manage planning, execution, and process, and shape how stories are told on social — from concepting and tracking creative inspiration to execution. Represent the social lens on shoots, ensuring content is captured with platform needs and trends in mind. Work closely with Marketing, Ecommerce, and PR to align messaging, timing, event coverage, and campaign moments across channels. Serve as a social subject-matter expert in cross-functional planning conversations. Support strategy for copywriting and community engagement across social content. Reporting & Optimization Deliver monthly performance reporting, surfacing insights and recommendations to inform future planning. Monitor trends, platform shifts, and best-in-class competitive brands to keep strategy and content fresh.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 4 years of experience in organic social media marketing with a proven track record of managing multiple channels at once. Experience managing at least one person. Experience with community engagement and management. Proven experience managing social media planning and execution, ideally across both always-on and campaign contexts. Strong attention to detail with excellent multi-tasking and time management skills. Strong writing skills, especially for strategic recommendations. Experience working cross-functionally with creative, marketing, and PR teams. Analytical mindset with experience translating social data into monthly reporting and insights. Excellent and proactive organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

NICE TO HAVE

Familiarity with Dash Social, TYB, and Asana. Experience working with a founder-led artistry brand. Comfort supporting and/or attending content shoots.
