The company has earned a reputation for being an excellent employer, focused on employee satisfaction and safety.We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant for our administrative offices in Tulsa, OK. This Senior Accountant position will be primarily responsible for various accounting functions including month-end close, account reconciliations, booking journal entries, and assisting with inventory. The senior accountant will also prepare schedules to support external audits. The position requires good oral and written communication skills and proficiency in Excel and integrated manufacturing systems/ERPs. Demonstrated manufacturing or cost/inventory knowledge is a plus.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly account reconciliations and follow-up on reconciling itemsPrepare and book journal entries, including daily inventory entriesPrepare monthly accrual estimatesMaintain and record intercompany accounting transactionsBackup Staff Accountant responsibilities, including cash reconciliations, positive pay, maintaining fixed asset subsidiary ledger and prepaid expense schedulesReview and reconcile monthly p-card expendituresPrepare and file monthly sales/use tax reportsSupport external audits, including annual physical inventorySupport the FP&A Manager in budgeting/forecasting processBookkeeping for related party smoke shops to support annual income tax filingsSupport other departments, as necessaryOther duties and special projects as requestedRequired Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum of an Associate's degree in AccountingThree to five years relevant accounting experienceBeginner to Intermediate Excel skills (PivotTables and VLOOKUPs a plus)Critical thinking/analytical skillsDetail orientedAbility to work effectively with minimal supervisionAbility to work well under pressure and able to meet challenging deadlinesAbility to prioritize multiple tasksExcellent written and oral communication skillsExperience with other products in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in AccountingManufacturing experienceCost accounting/inventory knowledgeIntegrated manufacturing systems/ERP skillsExperience with state tax reportingSome travel to our manufacturing facility in Pryor will be required (typically less than 20% unless a special project is ongoing).Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
