Accountant I

Overview The Accountant I prepares, reconciles, and audits budgets under general supervision. Prepares financial reports, invoices, schedules, and/or statements. Completes journal entries. Reviews, analyzes, and approves expenditures. Determines fund balances. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, University policies, and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related financial field. Skills and Knowledge Proficiency in working with personal computers and standard application software. Preferred Qualifications Experience with printing and bindery operations. Experience with Banner.
