VP, Head of Bridge/Fix and Flip Lending

Position Description

Full-Time, Salaried, Performance-Based Bonus

Location: San Francisco or New York – Required 4 days per week in the office (Mon-Thu).

Conventus is seeking an experienced VP, Head of Bridge / Fix and Flip Lending to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the strategy, growth, and execution of the Bridge and Fix and Flip product line, with speed-to-close as a defining competitive differentiator.

This role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and works closely with Capital Markets, Credit, Operations, Product, and Technology teams

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the overall strategy for the Bridge/Fix and Flip product line, including market positioning, pricing, underwriting standards, and risk management, with speed-to-close as a defining competitive differentiator.
• Sales Support and Enablement: Partner with Relationship Managers to provide product training, deal structuring support, and borrower education to increase Bridge/Fix and Flip loan volume and quality.
• National Expansion and New Market Strategies: Develop GTM strategies to scale Bridge/Fix and Flip across the United States and into newly opened markets, prioritizing high-volume MSAs and aligning RM coverage with market opportunity.
• Client Retention: Identifyopportunities tomonitorclient behaviors and capture repeat business.
• Revenue Growth and Partnerships: Identifychannels and build strategic partnerships acrossvariousnetworksandtechnology platforms.
• Loan Origination Technology: Ensure loan origination technology isconstantly refinedto appreciate the nuances and customization of the product.
• Product Management: Collaborate with capital markets, sales, ops, and technology to refine and expand Bridge/Fix and Flip loan offerings, features, and processes, includingAI-enabled solutions to scale.
• Closing Speed and Borrower Experience: Lead end-to-end efforts to reduce time-to-close across Bridge/Fix and Flip products, working cross-functionally to remove operational friction and deliver a best-in-class borrower experience that wins repeat business.
• Construction Draw Speed and Capabilities: Partner with Construction Ops, Servicingand Technology to constantly improve construction draw turnaround times, inspection processes, and self-serve draw capabilities, including tech-enabled inspections.
• Loan Structuring and Pricing: Work withCapMand Sales to enhance prescreening, structuring, and pricing of Bridge/Fix and Flip loans to improve conversion rates and competitive positioning across rehab tiers (Cosmetic to Heavy construction) as well as other qualities of the loans.
• Capital Markets Interface: Work closely with internal and external capital partners to ensure Bridge/Fix and Flip products meet requirements and demand, including warehouse, securitization, and loan buyer eligibility.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee the Bridge/Fix and Flip pipeline to ensure effective end-to-end loan origination, draw administration, and funding, with continuous focus on cycle-time reduction.
• Policies, Procedures and Guidelines: Ensure all policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to Bridge/Fix and Flip loans aremaintainedin line with industry standards and investor requirements.
• Performance Management: Monitorproduct delinquency and default rates, fall-out rates,closetimes, draw turnaround times, and overall portfolio performance, to drive continuous improvement and mitigate risk.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in bridge lending, fix and flip financing, or real estate finance
• Deep knowledge of bridge and fix and flip loan products, including rehab tiers from cosmetic to heavy construction
• Proven ability to build and manage partnershiprelationships
• Experience with capital markets partners including warehouse lenders, securitization, and loan buyers
• Strongtrack recordof driving loan volume growth through direct and wholesale channels
• Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams across sales, operations, credit, and technology
