The VP of Membership Growth is responsible for introducing agencies to the value of the 4As and helping grow our membership community across the US. This is a highly visible business development role focused on creating new relationships, building a healthy sales pipeline, and converting prospective agencies into long-term members. You'll spend your time identifying opportunities, engaging senior agency leaders, understanding their business challenges, and demonstrating how the 4As can help them thrive.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting new people, opening doors, asking thoughtful questions, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships. You'll work closely with our marketing, member services, and product teams, but your primary focus will be driving new membership growth. Success in this role comes from curiosity, persistence, organization, and the ability to build trust with agency leaders.

Business Development:

• Build and manage an active pipeline of prospective member agencies.
• Conduct outbound outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry events.
• Qualify prospective members and understand their business needs.
• Schedule discovery meetings and present the value of 4As membership.
• Consistently achieve monthly and annual membership growth goals.

Relationship Building:

• Build trusted relationships with agency leaders across finance, HR, operations, marketing, media, and executive leadership.
• Represent the 4As at conferences, networking events, webinars, and industry meetings.
• Partner with internal subject matter experts when specialized knowledge is needed.

Sales Process:

• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting in Salesforce.
• Prepare proposals and membership recommendations.
• Coordinate onboarding with Member Solutions.
• Partner with Marketing on campaigns that generate qualified leads.

Collaboration:

• Share market feedback with Product and Marketing.
• Identify opportunities for new member benefits and programs.
• Support cross-functional initiatives that improve member acquisition.

Requirements

position requirements

• 7-10 years of success in business development, membership sales, SaaS, media sales, partnerships, recruiting, or consultative B2B sales.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable initiating conversations with senior decision-makers.
• Highly organized with strong follow-through.
• Experience managing opportunities in a CRM.
• Curious, coachable, and eager to learn.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred:

• Experience in advertising, marketing, media, technology, or professional associations.
• Salesforce experience.
