Position Summary

A manufacturer of exterior architectural building materials is seeking an experienced and motivated District Sales Manager to develop and grow sales throughout the Southeast region.

This position is ideal for a sales professional with proven B2B experience in building materials, siding, cladding, façade systems, or related architectural products who is ready to take the next step in their career and assume greater responsibility for territory growth and market development.

The District Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business, building relationships with architects, contractors, developers, distributors, and other industry partners, managing the sales pipeline, and driving projects from initial opportunity through specification, bidding, and order conversion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for the assigned territory
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation
• Build and maintain a strong project and sales pipeline
• Develop relationships with architects, contractors, developers, distributors, installers, and other industry partners
• Conduct product presentations, customer meetings, and jobsite visits
• Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from initial lead through quotation, bidding, and order conversion
• Support and develop independent sales representatives and distribution partners
• Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and activity reports
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions
• Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, and Operations

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field
• 5+ years of B2B sales experience in exterior building materials, such as siding, roofing, windows, façade systems, cladding, exterior systems, or closely related products
• Experience working with architects, contractors, developers, and/or distributors
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage a sales pipeline
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable managing an assigned territory independently
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory

Preferred:

• Knowledge of fiber cement products, rainscreen systems, or exterior envelope solutions
• Experience getting building products specified for commercial construction projects
• Existing network within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry
• Bilingual English/Japanese or English/Spanish skills are a plus

Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida

Travel:
Approximately 50%
