Hourly Pay Range and Other Compensation:

• The hourly rate for this position is $32.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3rd Shift 10:00 pm to 6:30 am

Job Summary:

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Process Sustaining Engineer to support a leading medical diagnostics manufacturer in Carlsbad. This role will provide engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment, troubleshoot production issues, and drive improvements within a GMP-regulated environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot manufacturing process and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
• Support equipment maintenance, qualification, validation, and process improvements.
• Analyze process performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, quality, and efficiency.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, engineering documentation, and GMP records.
• Support continuous improvement and manufacturing sustaining initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred, ideally supporting manufacturing or production equipment.
• Experience in a GMP, medical device, biotech, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical troubleshooting and root-cause investigation.
• Experience with process improvement, equipment support, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with SOPs, validation, CAPA, FMEA, change control, or similar quality processes preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support changing production needs.
• Must be available for 3rd shift, 10:00 PM-6:30 AM, and able to travel between nearby sites as needed.
