Registered Nurse (RN) - Assistant Manager, ED - Emergency Department - $41-62 per hour

BJC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Manager, ED - Emergency Department in Valley Park, Missouri. Responsibilities Manage staff, including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and conducting professional development plans. Ensure staff productivity and operations align with departmental goals set by leadership. Participate in development of staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, and ensure adherence to these goals. Oversee patient care based on planned interventions, documenting according to policy. Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Review staff hours versus scheduled hours, determine appropriate dispositions, and approve daily payroll updates. Reconcile time cards, bonus tracking, and coding approvals. Prepare and execute all staff communications, huddle agendas, and lead meetings. Determine staffing needs, assign nursing duties, and assign overtime. Recommend annual salary increases. Interview candidates for open positions, conduct performance reviews, and administer corrective actions and disciplinary follow‑ups as needed. Maintain staff productivity and overall operational goals of the department. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend areas for improvement. Minimum Requirements Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. 2‑5 years of nursing experience. No prior supervisory experience required. Valid RN license. Preferred Qualifications Emergency Room experience preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. 5‑10 years of nursing experience. Less than 2 years of supervisory experience.
