Takes initiative in rendering service and responding to needs.Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special needs, spills, late trays etc. and maintains de-cluttered unit, as well as units being properly stocked to ensure patient and staff safety.Offer amenities such as blankets, water, coffee, newspapers, in room & tablet entertainmentDemonstrates empathy and professionalism in a sensitive environment.Assist with communication of visitation requirements and communication with other external departments as needed.Provide wayfinding services for patients/visitors needing to transport to other departments.Cooperate & collaborate with Unit based Staff and Leadership and participates in unit huddles as indicated.Minimum QualificationsMust be 18 years old or olderPreferred QualificationsTechnical School DiplomaAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to multi-task and establish prioritiesAbility to maintain organization in a changing environmentExhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadershipDemonstrate professionalism and empathy in a sensitive environmentAbility to use working knowledge of working environment to meet established goals & objectivesPhysical Demands Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.Job Description Disclaimer: This position description provides the major duties/responsibilities, requirements and working conditions for the position.
