Sr. Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer, Custom EngineeringThe Custom Engineering Department is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support custom software I/O development, Linux kernel development, hardware/software integration, system testing, and customer-specific engineering projects. This role supports complex design assignments, system-level troubleshooting, manufacturing support, and technical support for internal teams, customers, and partners.Work Authorization Required:Must be a US citizen. Unable to hire anyone on a visa or green card.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test, integrate, and support custom Linux kernel, device driver, and I/O software solutions.Design and support hardware/software interfaces for custom analog, digital, and communication I/O devices.Troubleshoot complex system-level hardware and software integration issues.Support Manufacturing with installation, configuration, testing, and validation of custom I/O products.Translate customer and product requirements into practical engineering solutions.Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering staff.Essential Skills and RequirementsStrong programming skills in C/C++.Experience with Linux kernel development, device drivers, and low-level system software.Knowledge of analog I/O, digital I/O, communication protocols, and hardware/software interfaces.Experience integrating and troubleshooting custom hardware and software at the system level.Ability to work independently on complex assignments requiring sound technical judgment.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required.Over 5 years of engineering experience required.Compensation:The pay range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 annually plus 10% bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
