Medical Assistant

Location: NYC, NY

Duration: 3 months Contract

Schedule: 8:30AM-4:30PM Hourly rate: $21/hour on W2 (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, including vital signs, EKGs, venipuncture/phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control standards.
• Manage patient records, EMR documentation, prescription refill requests, and medical forms.
• Schedule appointments, surgeries, and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Order, stock, and monitor medical supplies and medication expiration dates.
• Maintain required logs and ensure compliance with safety, HIPAA, and PPE policies.
• Perform other assigned clinical and administrative duties.

Qualifications

• National Certified Medical Assistant.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, EMR, and HIPAA.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Education

• High school diploma
