The Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Outcome Sciences in the College of Pharmacy is seeking to hire an Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative services for the Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Outcomes Sciences by serving as the operational hub for department activities. The Coordinator serves as the primary administrative liaison among the department, college, university, affiliated health systems, and external partners to facilitate effective communication and efficient operations. The Coordinator supports the Department Chair, faculty, staff, students, trainees, and affiliated personnel through coordination of faculty affairs, financial operations, research administration, academic programs, communications, and strategic initiatives that advance the department's missions in education, research, clinical practice, and service. - Knowledge of or ability to learn USC policies and procedures, knowledge of Peoplesoft and processing travel and graduate student assistantships.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Peoplesoft.

Job Duty Research Administration and Financial Operations Coordinate departmental financial operations and provide administrative support for faculty academic activities to ensure effective stewardship of resources, compliance with university policies, and efficient operations. Representative responsibilities include:
- Process purchasing requests, travel authorizations, reimbursements, purchasing card reconciliations, and other fiscal transactions in accordance with university and college policies.
- Coordinate procurement of academic, research, and operational resources, including software, databases, equipment, and supplies.
- Monitor departmental, faculty, grant, foundation, and other assigned accounts to ensure appropriate use of funds and policy compliance.
- Prepare financial summaries, expenditure reports, budget analyses, and other fiscal information to support operational planning, resource allocation, and decision-making.
- Track account balances, personnel funding, purchasing activity, and budget status; identify funding concerns, variances, and upcoming commitments, and communicate relevant information to the Department Chair.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Dean of Finance, College Business Office, and other administrative units on budgeting, purchasing, personnel funding, and related fiscal matters.
- Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and assist with financial reporting and documentation.
