Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every Other Weekend | Holidays Required | Schedule may vary based on unit need

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a Med Surg and Remote Telemetry unit
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices for a patient population that includes Med Surg, Ortho, Post-op, CHF, and Respiratory patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Administer medications using bedside barcode scanning
• Float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry departments as needed
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure applicable to the state of Georgia
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
• Recent hands-on experience with Cerner charting
• Experience with Med Surg patients and remote telemetry monitoring
• Minimum 2 completed travel assignments required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Orthopedic, Post-operative, CHF, or Respiratory patient populations
• Familiarity with high-volume inpatient units (unit volume approximately 810 patients/month)
• Comfort working with a patient ratio of 1:6–7 in a collaborative team environment
