Medical Assistant-Certified

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) provides clinical support in a primary care outpatient clinic setting, assisting healthcare providers with patient care activities. The role includes preparing patients, performing clinical tasks, and supporting efficient clinic operations. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within the healthcare team are essential. This position requires certification as a Medical Assistant-Certified and at least six months of relevant outpatient clinical experience is preferred. Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures and patient care.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and patient histories.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document care in the electronic medical record system (EPIC preferred).
• Support clinic operations including scheduling and patient flow management.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Float to Canyon Park or Woodinville Clinics as needed for staffing coverage.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) credential is required.
• Minimum six months experience as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic preferred.
• Reliable personal transportation (public transportation is not acceptable).
• Ability to chart accurately in electronic medical records; EPIC experience preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in a cardiology outpatient setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Special Considerations:

• Candidate must not hold MA-R, MA-P, or MA-HT certifications.
• Position is not on-call and does not require weekend work.
• Floating between clinics may be required after initial training period.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule is 4 days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
• Shift hours vary by day, generally between 7:45 AM and 5:45 PM with 9.5-hour shifts.
• Thursdays and weekends are off.
