Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/26/2026\n Duration: 26 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 26, 2026\n Length: 26 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years OR circulating experience and prior travel assignment history.Details\n \n Based in the Main OR of a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital with a 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms\n OR Float Pool position, may float between ORs but not between locations\n 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with varying start/end times based on unit need (no block schedule offered)\n Custom shift hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM\n 36 hours per week over a 26-week assignment\n Late stay required, up to four occurrences in a 13-week period, typically no more than one hour past normal shift end\n Adult patient population only; no pediatric cases (separate Children's Hospital OR)\n Handles all case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary\n Excludes cardiac, transplant, and trauma/neuro service lines from typical assignment\n Requirements\n \n Active TN or compact RN license required on file at time of consideration\n Minimum of 2 years of OR circulating experience required\n Scrub experience not required\n Prior travel nursing experience required\n Additional Information\n \n Circulate in a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma Main OR setting\n Expected to work 2 of 3 holidays with limited time off approved during the assignment\n Local candidates accepted, with a 75-mile radius rule determining local versus travel rate eligibility\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-752873.
