About the Opportunity

We are actively recruiting experienced Construction Superintendents for established general contractors throughout Southern California specializing in ground-up industrial construction, concrete tilt-up, distribution centers, warehouses, and large-scale commercial developments.

These opportunities are based in San Diego and the Inland Empire, offering the chance to lead substantial ground-up projects with established builders and strong Southern California project pipelines.

We are seeking hands-on field leaders who know how to take a project from initial sitework and foundations through vertical construction, inspections, and final turnover. Ideal candidates have experience managing subcontractors, maintaining aggressive construction schedules, and delivering industrial projects safely and efficiently.

• Oversee daily field operations on ground-up industrial and commercial construction projects from mobilization through completion.

• Manage all phases of construction, including sitework, foundations, concrete tilt-up, structural steel, building systems, and final turnover.

• Develop and maintain construction schedules, coordinate trade sequencing, and ensure critical project milestones are met.

• Direct subcontractors, foremen, and field personnel while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety.

• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, inspections, and subcontractor activities to keep projects moving.

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, architects, and ownership to resolve field issues and maintain project schedules.

• Conduct regular site inspections, safety meetings, and quality control reviews.

• Manage RFIs, field documentation, daily reports, and construction progress updates.

• Proactively identify scheduling conflicts, constructability challenges, and potential project delays.

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.

• Strong background in ground-up industrial, concrete tilt-up, warehouse, or distribution center construction.

• Experience managing projects from initial sitework through final completion.

• Thorough understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field operations.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

• Experience managing multiple trades and maintaining demanding construction schedules.

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction management software preferred.
