What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in PICU, managing complex conditions such as DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-op cases
• Titrate and monitor medications including pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents
• Perform invasive procedures like PIV placements, CVLs, and blood draws
• Utilize Meditech Expanse EMR system to document patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards through assessments and competency exams
• Support patient and family education during critical care

What You Need

• Active Louisiana RN license or the ability to quickly obtain
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience, with cross-training in adult ICU or Med/Tele preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (NRP preferred)
• Strong skills in IV therapy, wound care, titrating complex medications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Flexibility to work holiday rotations and every other weekend
• Capable of working nights in a fast-paced, traveler-friendly environment
