Finance (Corporate Debt) Associate Attorney
Direct Counsel is seeking a Finance (Corporate Debt) Associate Attorney to join a highly regarded Am Law 100 firm in New York, New York or Los Angeles, California .
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with experience in commercial finance and corporate lending to join a nationally recognized finance practice representing borrowers, private equity sponsors, financial institutions, and other market participants in sophisticated financing transactions.
Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent borrowers in a wide range of commercial finance transactions.
Structure, negotiate, and document syndicated lending and secured lending transactions.
Advise clients on borrower-side private equity-sponsored and non-sponsored asset-based and cash flow credit facilities.
Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, and ancillary financing documentation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex financing transactions from inception through closing.
Manage multiple transactions while providing practical, business-focused legal advice.
J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
Active Bar membership in good standing.
Experience representing clients in syndicated lending, secured transactions, and commercial finance matters.
Experience with borrower-side private equity-sponsored and non-sponsored asset-based and cash flow credit facilities.
Experience with debt capital markets instruments is a plus.
Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Base salary: $225,000–$310,000 (New York and Los Angeles salary range; compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and office location).
