FT MEDICAL BILLING AND A/R COLLECTIONS REPRESENTATIVE

Responsibilities The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for the timely follow‑up of insurance claims until final disposition. This includes following up on billed claims, researching and resolving denied claims, and collaborating with other departments as necessary. The role utilizes Excel spreadsheets to understand credit balances and perform insurance verification. The representative assists the Business Office Director with special projects, demonstrates excellent customer service when answering billing inquiries, and applies administrative and critical thinking skills to resolve complex account issues. Occasional overtime and flexible hours may be required. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent, preferably with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Healthcare Administration. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an accounts receivable or billing department, preferably in a healthcare setting. Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Excel or comparable business office software.
