FT MEDICAL BILLING AND A/R COLLECTIONS REPRESENTATIVE

Responsibilities THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. POSITION IS LOCATED ON SITE. The Patient Accounts Rep is primarily responsible for timely follow up of insurance claims until the final disposition. This includes follow up on billed claims, researching and resolving denied claims, and working with other departments as necessary. The role requires administrative and critical thinking skills, the ability to multi‑task and use judgment on complex account problems. Excellent customer service is essential when answering questions and finding resolutions to billing issues. The role uses Excel spreadsheets and must understand credit balances and insurance verification. This position assists the Business Office Director with special projects as needed. Qualifications A minimum of a high school graduate or equivalent, preferably with an Associates degree in Accounting or Healthcare Administration. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounts receivable or billing department, preferably in a healthcare setting. Must be proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Excel or any combination of education, training or experience in a business office environment. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
