Shipping & Receiving Operator

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Operator Location: New Albany, OH Hours: Monday- Friday 7am-3:30pm Payrate: $20/hr Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Operator to join our team in New Albany. This critical role is responsible for fulfilling orders, including order entry, administration, and shipping activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare orders for shipping: verify information and quantities, assemble boxes or wooden crates, and enclose appropriate documentation. Receive shipments: inspect and verify incoming material, ensure correct delivery, and maintain storage. Process all SAP and KIS shipping transactions; handle shipments through online logistics brokers. Conduct cycle counts and prepare international shipment documentation. Communicate any shipment discrepancies or issues to the supervisor. Handle and process return shipments. Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor; overtime as required. Adhere to all plant safety rules, OSHA regulations, and correct PPE usage. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Excellent analytical and math skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of packaging procedures; experience with power tools for creating/modifying shipping containers. Familiarity with Bills of Lading and other shipping documents is a plus. Ability to safely lift/carry up to 33 lbs. and perform repetitive movements. Forklift experience is preferred. Must demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and stoop as needed. Work in a temperature-controlled industrial environment with dust/mist collection systems and some exposure to noise. Use of proper PPE, including safety glasses, metatarsal-protected shoes, and cut-resistant gloves as required.
