Payroll Tax Specialist (Hybrid) — Cumberland, RI

Pay: $30.40 per hour

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Payroll Tax Specialist to support payroll tax mail management, registrations, and tax notice research/resolution. This is a temporary opportunity with a hybrid schedule (on-site ~3 days/week) in Cumberland, RI .

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (EST) (excluding holidays)
• Hybrid: on-site 3 days per week (and as needed)

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and manage payroll tax-related mail (on-site) and assist with general administrative tasks
• Support company tax registrations (state, local, unemployment, federal)
• Perform payroll tax notice research and resolution
• Research, clean up, and update tax account numbers
• Handle ad hoc payroll tax/admin tasks as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of U.S. Payroll Tax experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in SharePoint and ADP SmartCompliance (preferred/plus)
• Strong multitasking and analytical skills
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Associate’s Degree preferred/required per request
