ABOUT THE JOB As a Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, install, and maintain garage doors and openers, ensuring safe, high-quality work and exceptional customer service. Southeast Garage Doors (Banko) is committed to providing top-tier training, industry-leading tools, and long-term career growth. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and openers. Complete installations and service jobs using hand and power tools safely. Drive to customer locations, assess service needs, and recommend solutions. Test door systems, openers, safety sensors, and electronic components for proper function. Document completed work, materials used and maintain accurate inventory. Maintain a safe, clean work environment and company vehicle. Communicate professionally with customers and provide solution-based recommendations. Review work orders for accuracy before leaving job sites. Work closely with management and report any job-site issues promptly. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. At least 1–2 years of experience in garage doors, construction, electrical, HVAC, or a related trade. Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record. Ability to lift 75+lbs, work on your feet, from a ladder and perform tasks in outdoor conditions. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Comfortable with face-to-face customer interaction and upselling when appropriate. Ability to read and follow detailed instructions. Reliable, safety-driven, and committed to high-quality workmanship.
