Senior Litigation Associate

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a senior litigation associate with over three years of experience to join its New Orleans, LA office. The role involves managing a sophisticated, high-volume docket of complex litigation cases, including general liability, personal injury, wrongful death, construction defect, premises liability, trucking and commercial transportation, class action, toxic tort, and maritime cases. Duties Manage cases from inception through resolution with minimal oversight. Take and defend depositions effectively. Contribute to team development and mentor junior associates. Engage in law and motion practice. Participate in trial preparation and proceedings. Requirements Over three years of litigation experience. Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters. Sound judgment in case management. Experience in mentoring and team development preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Louisiana. Skills Strong legal research and writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in managing high-volume caseloads.
