What You'll Do

• Provide patient care on a 32-bed unit specializing in colorectal and abdominal surgeries, urological procedures, orthopedic surgeries, plastic surgeries, and wound care.
• Monitor and assess post-surgical patients, including managing surgical drains and managing complex care needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and therapies according to care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR system.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain a safe, high-quality care environment adhering to hospital protocols.

What You Need

Required:

• Valid Kansas or Multistate RN license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• 1+ year of recent Medical Surgical experience
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and rotate weekends
• Knowledge of Epic electronic medical records

Preferred:

• Experience with post-surgical and wound care
• Flexible to adjust to possible multiple orientation start dates
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
