Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid State License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - Patient ratios experience of 4 - Experience with charting systems Description: This position is for a Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse. The nurse will float between units as needed. Weekends are required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. There are no block schedules required. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center. The unit is dedicated to the care of neurosurgical patients and those with neurological conditions. It is crucial that the nurse is skilled in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for patient care. Patients may vary in neurosurgical etiologies and neurological pathologies. The unit utilizes a fast-paced working environment with a high level of teamwork. Cardiac telemetry drips are provided on this unit. All nurses are expected to comply with the designated uniform dress code. Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces. References are required covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. If required for the assignment, communication devices will be supplied.
