Accounting Assistant
We are excited to share a new opportunity! PrideStaff, a nationally recognized staffing company is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support one of our clients in the Fort Myers Metro area.
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Pay Rate: $18/hr. $22/hr. DOE Location: Fort Myers, FL Experience: 2+ Years
Accounting Assistant Job Responsibilities include:
- Enter invoices, prepare disbursements and process payments
- Compare accounts payable and receivable, and resolve discrepancies
- Identify delinquent accounts and insufficient payments
- Collections of outstanding receivables on a daily basis through telephone and written communication
- Maintain financial records and ensure accurate record keeping
- Assist in processing payroll
- Resolve any purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and document accordingly
- Assist with any other HR functions as needed
- Other administrative duties as assigned or needed to support the team
Accounting Assistant Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Recent experience working in accounting or accounts payable / receivable
- Experience with collections and making calls
- Recent and proficient QuickBooks experience
- Epicor Experience a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, meet daily deadlines, and multi-task in fast paced environment
- Bilingual preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong data entry skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and oral as well as problem-solving skills

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
