Senior Specialist, R&D Procurement

Senior Specialist managing source-to-contract procurement for real-world evidence and clinical research at a pharmaceutical company. Responsible for executing contracting processes, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and cross-functional coordination with clinical, legal, and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute source-to-contract procurement for real-world evidence and clinical research services aligned with business requirements
• Support end-to-end contracting including RFP development, supplier evaluation, scope review, and contract execution
• Partner with RWE, clinical, epidemiology, medical affairs, legal, and finance stakeholders on contracting requirements
• Review and negotiate supplier proposals, budgets, work orders, and amendments for appropriate alignment
• Coordinate with legal on contractual terms including data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, clinical research, or related field
• Minimum 5 years procurement, strategic sourcing, clinical research operations, or contract management experience
• End-to-end contracting experience including statements of work, budget evaluation, and contract negotiation
• Demonstrated experience with clinical research, RWE, observational research, or healthcare-related contracting
• Working knowledge of real-world evidence concepts, observational studies, and health data sources
• Clinical research or healthcare background with understanding of study operations and external research organizations
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills across multiple functions
