Peninsula Community Health Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Legal Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and client support to the Legal department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all phases contract lifecycle management including intake, routing, review, approval, execution, tracking, renewal, and records maintenance Monitor contract status and renewal deadlines to ensure timely execution and compliance Support attorneys in responding to subpoenas and discovery requests Correspond with vendors and counterparties to facilitate contracting Conduct client intakes, coordinate appointments, and maintain confidential client records for PCHS’s Legal Services Program Administer workflows related to employee protected leave programs, including tracking requests, documentation, deadlines, required notices, and communications among employees, Human Resources, and supervisors Maintain strict confidentiality regarding attorney-client communications, protected health information, employee records, litigation matters, and other sensitive information Coordinate forms management process including revision, stakeholder review, approval, version control, publication, and maintenance of official corporate documents and templates Perform document proofreading and editing for content and grammar Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct reports. Qualifications Certificate in Legal Secretary Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field (preferred) Two to five years of customer service experience (preferred) Benefits and Compensation PCHS offers a wide variety of benefits through a customizable cafeteria plan. Work Environment and Physical Demands With multiple locations and settings, PCHS’ work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employee’s role. Essential job functions include the following: The employee is required to talk, hear, see, smell, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employees may be exposed to mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
