Operations Manager

Whitecap Search is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the daily operations, service delivery, installation projects, staffing, and financial performance of our HVAC division. This role is crucial in ensuring that all HVAC services are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Onsite: Must reside in Virginia

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the HVAC service, maintenance, and installation teams.
• Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and resource allocation to ensure timely project completion and service response.
• Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, and operational costs to achieve profitability goals.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, quality standards, and performance metrics.
• Conduct regular field audits and inspections to ensure workmanship quality and customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate HVAC technicians, supervisors, and support staff.
• Collaborate with sales teams to support new business development and customer retention initiatives.
• Review and approve proposals, estimates, change orders, and project documentation.
• Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure quality service and cost-effective solutions.
• Respond to escalated customer concerns and resolve service issues promptly.
• Prepare operational reports and provide updates on performance, productivity, and financial results.
• Maintain inventory control and oversee equipment procurement and asset management.
• Support strategic planning and growth initiatives for the HVAC division.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing HVAC operations or similar industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
• In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to develop and implement operational procedures and quality standards.
• Problem-solving aptitude and customer-focused approach.
