Director, Enterprise Project Management (EPMO) - Wealth Management

Job Summary Director, EPMO – Wealth Management is an enterprise leader responsible for managing a portfolio of complex programs and projects that drive strategic business initiatives within Wealth Management. The role serves as a strategic partner to business, technology, operations, finance and compliance leaders, ensuring alignment between enterprise strategy, investment and execution while delivering measurable outcomes. Primary Responsibilities Develop and maintain a product delivery roadmap; drive execution of Wealth Management initiatives across business, product, and technology teams. Apply leading project management frameworks, processes and discipline; proactively manage portfolio‑level risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and financials. Prepare and deliver executive‑level communications, including portfolio health views, risk narratives, dependency analyses, investment trade‑offs and outcome reporting. Partner with legal, risk and compliance stakeholders to ensure transparency, compliance and effective escalation. Direct coordination and allocation of program and project manager resources based on skill match and portfolio needs. Lead deployment and enhancement of Wealthpath, Voya’s wealth‑management platform, collaborating with technology teams, vendors and business stakeholders. Manage change initiatives and stakeholder engagement to maximize adoption and minimize disruption; identify and implement process improvements. Partner with senior leaders to align projects with organizational priorities, KPIs and growth objectives; coach and mentor program and project managers; provide training, stretch assignments and feedback. Foster strong cross‑functional partnerships across business units, technology, operations, finance, legal, risk and compliance; act as liaison between leadership and project teams. Develop and maintain comprehensive project portfolios, dashboards and performance reports for executive visibility; provide actionable insights to adjust strategies and optimize resource allocation. Coordinate portfolio‑level business case governance; partner with Finance to manage annual planning, quarterly reforecasts and in‑year investment trade‑offs; track forecast accuracy and drive transparency on burn, variance and funding decisions. Qualifications 10‑15+ years of portfolio/program/project management experience within wealth management or financial services, with a focus on technology and strategic initiatives. Bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent work experience). Experience at top‑tier consulting firms managing large, complex transformation initiatives is a plus. Demonstrated success implementing portfolio governance, planning cadences and investment prioritization frameworks. Expertise in hybrid delivery models (Agile/Scaled Agile + Waterfall), release planning, dependency management and integrated roadmaps. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, balancing business outcomes and technology feasibility. Highly collaborative partner with strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to drive change in a matrixed, geographically dispersed environment. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills; ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Experience with portfolio and program management tooling (e.g., Planview, Azure DevOps, Power BI) and enterprise governance models. Certifications: PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI‑ACP, SAFe or equivalent; ITIL is a plus. Compensation and Benefits Annual base salary range: $170,000 – $185,000 (location specific). Incentive opportunities: annual cash incentives, sales incentives and/or long‑term incentives based on performance. Health, dental, vision and life insurance plans. 401(k) savings plan with up to 6% company match. Voya Retirement Plan (employer‑paid cash‑balance plan). Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per year.
