The Life Healing Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) specializing in geriatric services. Work Environment\n

This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, while also engaging with clients in our outpatient office. Our work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with some occasional evenings or weekends required to accommodate client schedules. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for seniors with varying mental health needs related to aging.

• Engage in collaborative clinical processes, providing consultation in the creation of both pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans.

• Ensure timely completion of documentation in alignment with state regulatory standards and organizational policies.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based screening and assessment tools to inform treatment strategies and interventions.
\n
• Participate actively in the development and implementation of positive behavior support plans that enhance clients' quality of life.

• Act as a liaison with state agencies, community partners, and service systems to facilitate a comprehensive support network for clients.

• Enhance communication with all stakeholders to uphold our organization's mission and align with best practices.
\n
• Engage in professional development activities by attending relevant workshops, seminars, and meetings that pertain to mental health and geriatric counseling.

• Promote and integrate the agency’s values, philosophy, and principles into your daily work.

• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to better serve our client community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with the geriatric population, addressing unique challenges such as loneliness, bereavement, and significant life changes. By applying your expertise, you'll help clients navigate these sensitive issues while fostering emotional resilience and independence.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

• A minimum of four years of recent, relevant experience in mental health counseling focused on geriatric populations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Additional training or specialization in geriatric mental health, including familiarity with mental health issues commonly affecting older adults.

• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement comprehensive care plans.

Compensation and Benefits\n
