Director of Sales and Marketing Department: Practice Administration / Business Development Reports To: Practice Owner / Chief Executive Officer / Managing Physician Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt Location: Athens, Georgia. Position Summary The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for driving patient acquisition, retention, and revenue growth for the practice through strategic marketing initiatives, referral development, and community outreach. This role blends traditional marketing leadership with healthcare-specific business development, working closely with providers, front-office staff, and practice leadership to build the practice's brand, expand its patient base, and strengthen relationships with referring physicians and community partners. The ideal candidate understands both the marketing funnel and the unique compliance, ethical, and patient-experience considerations of the healthcare industry. Develop and execute an annual sales and marketing strategy aligned with practice growth goals, service line priorities, and budget Set measurable targets for new patient volume, referral growth, service line utilization, and revenue, and report progress to leadership Build, manage, and mentor a marketing/business development team (or oversee outsourced agencies and vendors) Manage the marketing budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources across channels Marketing & Brand Oversee the practice's brand identity, website, and all patient-facing collateral (print, digital, signage) Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO, paid search/social, email campaigns, and online reputation/review management Manage content strategy across the website, blog, and social media channels Plan and execute new service line launches, seasonal campaigns, and patient education initiatives Track and analyze marketing performance metrics (cost per new patient, conversion rates, ROI by channel) and adjust strategy accordingly Cultivate and grow relationships with referring physicians, specialists, hospitals, and community health organizations Represent the practice at community events, health fairs, conferences, and networking functions Develop and manage a physician liaison or outreach program, if applicable Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, employer relationships, and payer relationships that support patient volume growth Support the growth of ancillary or self-pay service lines (e.g., aesthetics, wellness programs, elective procedures) where applicable Patient Experience & Retention Partner with front-office and clinical teams to ensure a consistent, positive patient journey from first contact through follow-up care Develop patient retention and re-engagement campaigns Monitor and respond to patient feedback, online reviews, and satisfaction survey data Collaborate with staff on training related to customer service and the patient experience Compliance & Coordination Ensure all marketing and outreach activities comply with HIPAA, state healthcare advertising regulations, and payer/insurance guidelines Coordinate with practice administration on messaging related to insurance, billing, and patient financial policies Work with legal/compliance resources as needed to review testimonials, before/after imagery, and promotional claims Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field 5+ years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, or business development, including at least 2 years in a leadership role Proven track record of driving measurable growth (patient volume, revenue, lead generation) Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, analytics tools, and CRM/marketing automation platforms Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to build relationships with physicians, referral sources, and community partners Preferred: Experience in healthcare, medical practice, dental, or wellness industry marketing Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare advertising compliance requirements Experience with EHR/practice management systems and healthcare-specific patient acquisition strategies Background in physician liaison or medical sales roles Master's degree (MBA or related field) Strategic thinking with hands‑on execution ability Relationship building and networking Project management and multitasking across concurrent campaigns Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive patient and practice information Adaptability in a fast‑paced, regulated environment Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience: $55K/annual] – $Commission based on improved collections] Performance-based bonus tied to growth targets Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and holidays This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and is not an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, or responsibilities associated with the role. #J-18808-Ljbffr Reddy Medical Group
