Position Summary The Medical Records Coordinator plays a vital role in making certain that patient data is being compiled, updated, and organized accurately in compliance with regulations. This position makes medical information accessible to clinical staff while preserving patient privacy as well as oversees the processing of Releases of Information and vaccine requirement compliance forms. Minimum Qualifications From Classification Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR An Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology AND one year of general clerical experience. Note College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Additional Minimum Qualifications For This Position Two years of experience working in an integrated college healthcare setting. Experience working with medical records, including processing and releasing medical records in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines. Work Days/Hours Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm, in-person Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement The starting hourly rate for this position will be $21.91/hour. The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
