Market Sales Manager

Our client is currently seeking a Market Sales Manager covering Orange County, CA. Must live in that region and have experience on/off premise there (partners with SGWS). This is an \"in market, feet on the street position.\" Generous bonus on top of base salary, car allowance, comprehensive healthcare/dental/vision package, PTO, 401K, training, etc.

The Market Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering volume, distribution, and merchandising performance across the assigned market covering all channels of business, both on and off-premise.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Company brand portfolio within assigned market for on- and off-premise accounts
• Manage distributor relationships with DMs, AMs, KAMs, etc.
• Direct the planning and implementation of sales programming in all markets
• Ensure POS and other marketing assets are utilized in the field with correct programs
• Merchandising and building displays
• Implement creative programs to engage and activate consumers, including product sampling and demos
• Execute distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs, menus, and ads are to brand and company standards
• Travel within territory 4 to 4-1/2 days each week to actively engage accounts

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in the wine and spirits industry, on- and off-premise
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision; self-starter
• Willing to be very hands-on to get the job accomplished
• Proficient in Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel within the assigned territory 4.5 to 5 days per week are required. If a personal car is used for business purposes, proof of car insurance will be required. Business-related travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
