The Member Solutions Specialist plays a vital role in safeguarding members’ financial well-being by overseeing collections efforts while helping members find realistic paths forward. This role also serves as key part of the lending department providing support in areas when needed. It is a hands-on position for someone who leads with empathy, communicates with confidence, understands when a supportive conversation is needed - and when firm guidance protects both the member and the credit union. This role exists to ensure members feel respected, informed, and supported, even during their most difficult financial moments.

Major duties and Responsibilities :

• Lead a solutions-oriented collections function that helps members navigate financial hardship, regain stability, and remain long-term, trusting members of AHCU.
• Set and execute collections strategies focused on early intervention, relationship preservation, and sustainable outcomes - not just short-term recovery.
• Communicate with members by phone, email, and written correspondence to understand the circumstances behind delinquency and work collaboratively to develop realistic repayment or workout plans that support both the member and the credit union.
• Clearly explain payment history, delinquency status, loan terms, and recommend available options so members can make informed decisions about next steps.
• Collaborate closely with management by providing timely updates, clear documentation, and recommendations related to delinquency trends, complex member situations, risk exposure, and potential charge-offs, while aligning decisions with established policies and leadership direction.
• Serve as the primary liaison with attorneys, trustees, and external agencies related to repossession, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and other legal proceedings.

Candidate must have two years of credit union or financial experience in the loan/collections area.
