This role involves serving as the chief messaging strategist, setting the strategic direction for the media program, and building and maintaining relationships with national and regional media. The Vice President will also be instrumental in crisis and issues management, team leadership, and collaboration, and will be expected to have a proven track record in securing and shaping national media coverage. Applicants for the Vice President of Public Relations position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 12 years' experience in public relations, communications, or public affairs. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in both proactive storytelling and rapid-response communications, as well as experience in managing and developing multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with constitutional and religious liberty issues, and experience in a legal, advocacy, policy, or faith-based organization, are also desirable.
