Work Environment\n

This position is remote and will primarily serve a detox center dedicated to supporting students as they navigate their mental health challenges. The work schedule typically spans Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts, rotating weekend responsibilities, and on-call availability to address urgent mental health situations as they arise.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, taking into account the students’ histories, presenting concerns, and any risk factors that may be present.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with students, emphasizing emotional well-being and successful school integration.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy, to effectively address various mental health concerns.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions that facilitate personal growth, emotional regulation, and the adoption of effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners to provide holistic care and coordination of treatment efforts.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and making appropriate referrals when higher levels of care are needed.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them in their mental health journeys.

• Maintain accurate and current documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and professional development activities to continually enhance your knowledge and skills.

• Stay informed about relevant laws and ethical guidelines associated with mental health practices in educational settings.

Qualifications\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
