Are you friendly, dependable, and enjoy talking with people? Join the Cabot team for the season as a Seasonal Retail Associate at our Waterbury Annex and/or Hardwick Yellow Barn! Our retail team helps create a welcoming experience for visitors while sharing the Cabot story and our award-winning cheese and dairy products with customers from near and far. Provide friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable customer service. Welcome customers and create a positive shopping experience. Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, credit card, and other transactions. Assist customers with product selection and answer questions about Cabot products. Stock, rotate, and organize merchandise and retail products. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor. Monitor inventory and communicate when products need to be replenished. Package and prepare products for customers as needed. Assist with opening and closing duties. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies. Work collaboratively with other retail team members. Assist with special events, tastings, and other activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Friendly and positive attitude. Dependable and punctual. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer and cash-handling skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine lifting and stocking duties. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Preferred: Previous retail, customer service, or food service experience. Previous cash-handling or point-of-sale experience. Knowledge or interest in Cabot products, cheese, and dairy. Experience working in a busy retail or customer-facing environment.
