Founding Software Engineer

Base Pay Range $175,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr Mission IronLedger is reducing the cost to manage housing, starting with automated accounting. Problem Hiring accountants is expensive ($100K+ annually) and the market is facing a shortage of back‑office workers (75% of CPAs are retiring in the next 8 years and property manager turnover is ~30% annually). We’re building agents to automate accounting for owners and managers of $2.6T+ in real estate assets. Your Role Build at the frontier of AI in Real Estate: Lead development of agents and AI‑enabled software for accounting and property management workflows. Be incredibly product‑focused: Translate product requirements and feedback directly from the customer into high‑quality features and magical user experiences. Wear many hats and be an owner: Partner and owner of IronLedger. Primarily focus on full‑stack development, but also travel with team to customers, gather feedback, and design your own product UI/UX. As we grow, this role will transition into IronLedger’s Head of Engineering. What We’re Looking For 2+ years of software development with demonstrated experience building applications with foundational models, Vector DBs and AI agent frameworks. Key Skills: AWS, Next.js, Python, experience with Vector DBs, prompt engineering, and deploying agents into production (nice to have). Energized by creating magical, near‑perfect customer experiences that users love. Deploy high‑quality code quickly and iterate to get closer to perfection. Appreciation and curiosity for the “boring”, fundamental and complex problems like accounting and property management workflows. Dirty jobs!
