Founding Software Engineer

They're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help build the backend systems, AI infrastructure, and core platform powering the product. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape both the technical architecture and product direction as one of the company's earliest engineering hires. The Opportunity You'll join as the fourth engineer, building scalable backend services, APIs, and AI-powered workflows that sit at the heart of the platform. Working closely with founders and product leaders, you'll help turn customer insights into production software at startup speed while shaping the systems that support the company's next phase of growth. What You'll Do Build and own backend services, APIs, and core platform infrastructure Design scalable systems for AI-powered workflows, automation, and structured data Develop product features using LLMs, prompt orchestration, and AI application frameworks Help evolve the company's shared intelligence platform Improve platform performance, reliability, and engineering velocity Partner closely with product to rapidly ship customer-driven features Drive architectural decisions and technical direction across the platform What You'll Bring Experience building and shipping production backend systems Strong product mindset with a passion for solving customer problems Expertise in Python and modern backend architecture Experience with distributed systems, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure Familiarity with LLMs, retrieval systems, structured generation, and AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot Strong system design skills and the ability to operate with high ownership in a fast-moving startup Python TypeScript Backend APIs and distributed systems LLMs and AI infrastructure Cloud infrastructure and developer tooling Why Join?
