Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients, employing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
Deliver individualized therapy focused on enhancing speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.
Provide educational resources and support to patients and families, empowering them to continue their journey outside of the therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity in patient care.
Maintain thorough and timely documentation compliant with necessary regulations and standards.
Engage in continuous professional development and collaboration with peers to stay current in the field.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
Robust knowledge of evidence-based interventions for all age groups, with a solid grasp of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication skills to engage meaningfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
Adept at adjusting therapy approaches to cater to cultural and linguistic diversity.
