CNC Machine Operator Job Summary:


A growing manufacturing company in Kentwood is seeking a dependable CNC Machine Operator to join their team. If you have CNC machining experience, blueprint reading skills, and enjoy working in a precision manufacturing environment, this may be a great fit for you.

CNC Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate Mazak CNC lathes to manufacture parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Use gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify tolerances
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify part quality
• Replace inserts and materials safely and correctly
• Monitor machine operation and identify part defects
• Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Maintain accurate production and quality standards

Schedule & Pay:

• Monday - Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM + Overtime as needed
• $20.00/HR

CNC Machine Operator Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience preferred
• Experience operating CNC routers, laser equipment, turret presses, or CNC lathes preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings
• Understanding of tolerancing and quality requirements
• Experience using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Knowledge of ISO procedures and manufacturing safety standards preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Dependable and safety-focused

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Ability to lift materials as required throughout the workday
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around machinery and equipment
