Core Job Responsibilities

• Personal Care Support : Assist clients with essential activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance : Help patients transfer safely out of bed, walk, or perform basic physical therapy exercises.
• Domestic Assistance : Perform light housekeeping chores including dust-mopping, laundry, dishwashing, and grocery shopping.
• Companionship : Offer emotional and psychological support through daily conversation, memory games, or structured cognitive activities. 

General Requirements

• Active Licensing : A state-approved  CHHA certification in good standing (frequently required by boards like the New Jersey Board of Nursing).
• Background Check : Clearance on a criminal background check and health screenings.
• Transportation : A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for traveling to client homes.
• Physical Stamina : Capability to bend, stand for long durations, and lift or transfer patients up to 50 pounds.
• Soft Skills : Deep empathy, strong communication skills, emergency composure, and high accountability.
