The Division of Infectious Diseases at our organization is in search of a skilled and passionate Clinician to engage in our division's activities at the Assistant Professor level. We are dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, and research. Our faculty comprises 14 physician-scientists or physician-educators and 6 Ph.D. scientists. The ID Division plays a crucial role within a vast infectious disease research community at our organization, collaborating with various Departments, Centers, and Institutes. We work closely with the Center for Tropical Diseases, the Institute for Human Infection and Immunity, the Center for Global Health Education, and the Departments of Pathology and Microbiology and Immunology.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Professor - Infectious Diseases will include providing inpatient consultation coverage at the Clear Lake Campus and establishing 1 to 2 half-day outpatient clinic sessions weekly at the League City and/or Clear Lake campuses. This faculty member will also engage in various academic activities within the division, including supervising students, residents, and/or fellows in both inpatient consultation and outpatient clinic settings.

Candidate Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree.

• Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Program and Infectious Disease Fellowship.

• Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

• A strong dedication to patient care and academic medicine, with proven mentoring abilities for trainees.

• U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.

• Capability to secure an unrestricted Texas Medical License.
