Speech Language Pathologist - Part-Time

Additional Information About the Role Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to work in our outpatient setting. The Center for Outpatient Therapy and Wellness offers a diverse patient population including orthopedic, sports medicine, neurologic, vestibular/balance, and oncology rehab. Mon, Wed, Fri (24-hours weekly) 1 weekend every 7-8 weeks; on call with possibility of coming into hospital to see NPO patients We offer: CEU Budget for each SLP Sign-on Bonus 1-1 Patient Care Role Purpose The Registered Speech Pathologist or Speech Therapist provides skilled speech and swallow therapy services to patients including all aspects of evaluation and treatment. Responsibilities Establish treatment plan and provide treatment, considering discharge needs; expected discharge functional status; and appropriate equipment and supplies. Educate, collaborate with, and conference with patients, families, and other health care providers; making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed. Delegate to assistants, techs, and students through written and verbal communication including determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet the needs of the patient. Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies. Provide assessment, reassessment, and/or consultations for Speech Services.
